Jamie Yoo

M.A, LPC Intern

Life is full of surprises and obstacles, but everyone has the capacity to find meaning and hope in their own lives. I can help my clients explore their emotions, thoughts, and core beliefs so that they can learn to adapt to a variety of life challenges and be comfortable with who they are.

I have experience working in mental hospitals, private practices, church ministries, and long-term care facilities. I work with individuals, groups, children, families, and couples. I have also been a Registered Nurse for over thirty years, which has helped me understand the importance of nurturing one’s body, mind, and soul to become a whole person.

I use an integrative approach to help my clients by creating a trustworthy and safe environment. It is important to me that clients feel respected and valued as individuals who can pursue their own goals and aspirations. My approach focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution-focused therapy, family systems, and Person-Centered therapy. I am fluent in English and Korean.

I am honored to walk alongside clients in this journey. I offer sessions on Thursdays and Saturdays by appointment and a compatible sliding fee scale.
