My Approach:
I work collaboratively with each client in addressing their specific needs and mapping out the best steps for their journey. I use research-based techniques along with creative and integrative thinking to offer therapy tailored to the uniqueness of each client. I am integrative and experiential in my approach to therapy utilizing Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS) and expressive arts among my tools.
I have benefitted from therapy myself so I understand that it can feel intimidating, especially if it is your first time. It is important to me that you feel comfortable with the therapeutic process, so I offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment to work through life’s difficulties. So, if you are wanting help with anxiety or depression, finding a way to work through difficult life events, navigate challenging relationships or just finding your next path, I invite you to take the first step in your journey of healing and schedule a session today. I look forward to meeting you.
About me:
I worked as a Certified Public Accountant for 15 years prior to becoming a stay-at-home Mom of twins. During this time away from professional life, I was an active volunteer with my church and children’s school and was a substitute teacher. I have always had a passion for serving others so when I was ready to return to work outside the home, I decided to make a career change that would allow me to help people on a more personal level. With the support of my family, I returned to school and began to pursue a career in the counseling field. I graduated with a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling completing my graduate level internship at a residential inpatient treatment facility where I earned the credential of Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
I have been married for 22 years and have teenage twins. When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and dog. I also enjoy reading, crochet, gardening, and a good cup of coffee. Most Friday nights I can be found at a high school sporting event cheering on my favorite athletes, my kids.
