Therapists

DR. KEN BATEMAN

Ed.D., LMFT-S, LPC-S

As a Marriage and Family therapist I have training in the dynamics of couple and family relationships. Counseling isn’t just listening, it’s teaching tools and offering new methods for communication, stress management and solving problems.

KERI RIGGS

M.A., LPC-S

My counseling style is collaborative, supportive, practical and strengths-based. With over 20 years’ experience in private practice, community mental health and psychiatric hospital programs, clients benefit from my maturity and breadth of knowledge.

FRANK GEIS

M.A., LPC, LMFT, CSAT, CPTT, Neurotherapist

Life is relational and in being so; it has challenges. I am a relational therapist who assist in finding solutions rather than merely “dancing around” the issues. I work with marriages, couples, individuals and adolescents. I incorporate Neurofeedback in dealing with trauma, stress, anxiety, anger, and cognitive issues.

ROBIN POWELL

LCSW-S, CT

I am only seeing patients via Video (telehealth). I am a specialist in grief counseling and am a Certified Thanatologist through the Association for Death Education and Counseling (ADEC). Many things come under the heading of grief, including divorce, caregiver stress, coping with elderly parents, and job loss.

JOE SHAW

MA, LPC-S, NCC

I consider it a privilege to work with individuals, couples, and groups. I have worked in various settings including hospice, drug and alcohol rehab with dual diagnosis patients, community counseling center, and in private practice.

I specialize in trauma resolution, am an EMDRIA Approved Consultant and am Certified in EMDR therapy. Trauma includes many types of distressing life events. EMDR helps people heal from the emotional distress that can result from experiencing trauma. I work with adults aged 21 and older and offer both weekday and weekend appointments.

KIM KAYS

M.S., LPC, LCDC

I’m a counselor who specializes in helping men and women facing “now what?” Now what is rooted in what did or didn’t happen, presently expressed in what is or isn’t happening!

MISHAAL RIAZ

MA-LPC

I focus on creating a space that is authentic, safe, and non-judgmental. I am a culturally sensitive therapist and advocate for the mental health needs of minority groups.

LAURA FLOWERS

MA, LPC, LMFT

Most of my clients are couples and individuals seeking relief from relationship distress. This might include emotional disconnection, unresolved conflict, parenting stress, blending families, infidelity, divorce, living with mental and chronic illness, life transitions, anxiety, depression, and other issues.

NANCY WILLIAMS

MA, LPC

I believe our world is seen and lived through the lens of our prior experiences.  You may be feeling the effects of a single traumatic incident, or you may be struggling with the weight of years of hurtful events.  When we experience suffering, we can feel like it becomes part of our identity which then affects every area of our lives.  We don’t have to live this way, healing is possible.
